The SXSW panel mostly focussed on things that are new and different in the past year rather than the basics. You seem like you have a good grasp of the basics. My sections was 8 minute out of a regular hour to full-day workshop on tagging. Many people these days can get a good grasp on tagging from many places.

I am interested to see what you will do with tagging on your site. There are many options for features to add, but what interfaces and interactions you put in front of the people using your site will drive it and its value. As well, the analytics and monitoring you do should impact how it will expand the use of your site.

Yaw, I’ve invested a positively disturbing amount of time and brain cycles on the tagging thing. My list o’ bookmarks on the subject is positively frightening. :-)

Your comments were insightful and your links lead me to a lot of interested blog posts on the subject.
